Safer

When flying ten feet above the ground at 100 knots, pilots need to keep their eyes on the windscreen. Shifting their gaze for even a second is hazardous.

DynaNav's systems are uniquely designed to take such needs into account. The DynaViz™ display, the joystick and the software combine to maximize the pilot's safety and efficiency.

Pictured here, the DynaViz™ display is installed on the plane's dashboard, enabling pilots to see whether they're flying straight along the swath line. With this sensible system, pilots no longer need be distracted by having to look down and away from the windscreen to check their course. The display is so compact and clear that it is easy to read and doesn't interfere with sight lines, as shown in this picture of the display installed in a gyrocopter in Germany.

Just over the pilot's left shoulder can be seen the edge of the joystick, which is pictured in full to the right. Using this joystick, pilots can control the entire DynaNav system without ever having to lift their hands from the plane's controls.

Safety features built into the software enable pilots to:

  1. view or review the total job in the head's up display mounted on the dash, with clean-up accomplished easily on the job and no worries about vertigo;
  2. instantly select the best and most convenient swath line without having to fiddle with pre-set patterns, thereby minimizing stress on the pilot and aircraft;
  3. experience fewer misses and go-arounds, since pilots are free to choose the best intercepting line rather than having to fly a pre-set pattern;
  4. experience shorter turn times with fewer G forces; and
  5. instantly see if a line has been missed, filling it in when convenient, without having to land to sort things out.

And all of this is accomplished without shifting away from the windscreen or joystick!
